The American Animal Hospital Association sets the highest established standards for the practice of veterinary medicine. Certification is maintained by regular certification inspections. Dr. Wilson was born and raised in Henderson, Kentucky. After serving 3 years in the US military as an EMT and field medic he began his pre-vet studies at the University of Kentucky. He then went on to Auburn University where he received his doctorate in 2003. He is active in numerous professional associations and brings an extensive background in both human and veterinary medicine. He has worked closely in FDA studies including weight control, vaccine management, and antibiotic approval. Dr. Wilson's special interests include pain management, oncology, and diabetes. His personal interests involve traveling, sports, especially Kentucky basketball, but most of all spending time with his wife Diane and hanging out with his son, Jake.
Dr. Catalfamo was raised in Currituck, North Carolina and attended North Carolina State University for her undergraduate degree in Animal Science. Immediately after graduation she moved to St. Kitts to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. After a couple of years in the sunny Caribbean she move to Alabama to complete her clinical training at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began working near home in North Carolina in March of 2011.
In June of 2015, the Navy relocated her to Jacksonville by way of Milton, FL. She is currently licensed to practice medicine in both states, is a member of The American Veterinary Medical Association and Accredited with the USDA. She enjoys a variety of internal medicine and surgery and feels very strongly about preventative medicine.
Her personal interests include activities on the water, running, cooking and reading. She loves traveling and visiting family. They have one rescue dog named Carib.

Brenda has been a part of the wonderful family at Monument Road Animal Hospital since 1992! She has been married for 39 years and has three children; Michael, Amanda, and Hilary and three Grandchildren. She has lived in Jacksonville for over 20 years. Her personal interests include yard work and gardening, knitting and crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and furry friends.
